This canyon is in Prarie Creek Redwoods State Park. I combined two images at different exposures to deal with the wide range of zones. The picture got nothing in pictorial but another judge gave it first place in Nature

This guy hangs out among the docks at the Monterey marina. It was hard to get a shot without a reflection of a boat in it. I was about 20 feet from it.
I was sitting in the dentist's chair getting my teeth cleaned when these deer appeared outside the picture window. Since I always carry a digitialo camera, I leaned down in the chair (so as not to disturb them) and made several shots.
